Teaching Students to be CyberSmart
Aug 10th, 2008 by Scott Walker
Online safety is of the most importance these days, and unless students are taught the appropriate skills early, they will be forced to learnd them on their own(which could end up being a tough lesson learned). If you happen to be searching around for good sources of curriculum to help teach the material, you can check out cybersmart.org. They have dozens of stand-alone lessons that can be taught to grades k-8. Each set of lessons is broken down into age groups with printable handouts and lesson plans, all free of course. I found out about it by browsing Curriki.org, but you can check out their actual site by going to cybersmart.org.
Another site that I use is http://www.netsmartzkids.org/indexFL.htm
Netsmartzkids is great for the elementary level.
